The origin of the name
Veni, Vidi, Vici: I came, I saw, I conquered
In 47 BC, the landscape for the Roman Republic was critical. An ambitious king named Farnaces II had taken advantage of the chaos of the Roman civil wars to invade territories and challenge the Republic's power in the East. It was an enormous threat that jeopardized the stability of the entire region.
To stop him, the celebrated Roman general Julius Caesar marched to encounter him. The definitive showdown took place at the Battle of Zela (in modern-day Turkey). The importance of this conflict was absolute: it decided who would maintain strategic and commercial control over the area.
Caesar's response was swift and devastating. The battle lasted barely a few hours and the enemy army was completely dismantled. When reporting his triumph to the Roman Senate, Caesar did not need to send a lengthy report or beat around the bush. He summarized his feat in three powerful words that became legend: Veni, Vidi, Vici.
Three verbs. Three victories. A perfect strategy: arrive, analyze, and conquer. That same philosophy guides Veni, Vidi, Vici: we seek to understand your invention in depth, identify the right strategy to protect it, and accompany you until it is achieved.
